Macy's Valuable Tips for An Associate

Image
What does this Mean? I think you know what I think of it just by seeing titles on my blog But Whats your opinion to whoever is reading. Ok so I got this award as an On-Call Associate-warehouse Whoever reads this and whoever works for macy's and yes the store too I'm giving two tips and one inside knowledge of the Macy's Fulfillment Center:-- 1. You will get hired as on call, rake as many hours as possible, keep track of them. Aim for 1000 hours at the least over 625 hours. Reason for this is they have a policy in place where they have to bump you up to part time as long as your in good standing. I don't know if this is the same with the stores. 2. Don't let management and HR get to you (they will try to I've seen it) keep your cool. Any false move and they will not hesitate to discipline you times x2 (bar you from becoming permanent is there goal). Think of yourself as a second class citizen if you will don't protest it just like I said be cool w...

Unions and Supervisors/Foremans A Pet To Management

Yes I could have used another word instead of pet for more of a bang but I'd rather be more PG in my writings.  Thought I'd keep it simple and do a list to gather my thoughts in a more efficient manner and where people can follow it. Union Stewards who once were leaders and stuck up for the blue collars became themselves white collar fat cats, taking back room deals from management, playing favorites, and throwing good workers out because they "complained or were too much of a non-comformist". 1. Every CBA formed with the exception of...

Human Resources Is Corrupt, Filthy, And Repugnant and Should Be Out of Commission, Common Workers worst enemy

Question? How do we control a diverse workplace with diverse minds? How do we cover up the corruption? How do we brainwash employees into thinking the company works in there best interest? And how do we rid of the JFK's and Lennon's of the workforce or silence them? Answer? With force? No we tried this and we failed almost taking the company down i the process Having LP act as gestapo watching the employees every move? Yes it works sometimes but not all the time. How about having Human Resources... On the outside having a facade of working for the employees and rewarding them but in reality we are doing the bidding of the company and its best interests whether it helps or hurt the employee. And taking the ball out of managements hand and having a uniformed system of policy that hurts 50% of the employees. Forming and changing benefits that we know the employees will balk at because it takes a good portion of there pay. Essentially dissolving those benefits or better ...
