The Old Officers Club
Sent this as a submission to a ghost podcast I listen to. A bit of extra backstory. This story pops in my head every now and then, its eerie and its not. If the dream never happened I would've forgot about this club, there were many military base clubs that were 10 times better than this one even at its prime. In fact i can name off 2 to 4 off the top of my head that were in Korea in my opinion anyways. Anyways this is what I sent.
When I was a young teenager I used to go exploring around, At the time I had access to the base because of my parents. My favorite place to go was an old I'd say late 1800s to 1900s building formerly an officers club, many people told me different dates of when it was built. Anyways they had bingo night every friday or something at the time, the building was open and I was able to explore it. I always felt there was something in that club. Above the ballroom (where bingo was held) were former quarters that had a very strong feeling and I did not want to be in that area. I had found my favorite room which was down the hallway from the ballroom. It had a cozy feeling and beautiful bar so I used to hangout there when I could. One day, it was a windy day and in that room I felt someone was in the room with me, also heard whistling and it wasn't from the wind. It was like it was a person who whistled off tune when I was sitting at one of the booths. I wasn't scared, more like intrigued, so I went to the fireplace that was in this lounge and the whistling stopped, I did this twice. And twice it stopped. I asked one of the staff members and explained my experience, she had told me there was a manager that had died a couple years ago not on property that used to whistle off tune. Honestly, I have no idea, but I did feel a presence.
Club had closed and it was set to be torn down to make it into a lake. I had forgotten about the club and months later I had a dream, I was on the balcony of my favorite lounge. The door to the balcony shut with force and I woke up. Couple of days or weeks later the building was razed.
It was interesting. That led to a question, Can a building be a spirit or was it a collection of spirits telling me hey this building is being torn down remember the building I have no idea. It was one of the weirdest dreams I had and I still think about it from time to time, maybe that was its intention to not be forgotten Idk.
Ok so that is what I had written to the podcast, there is an addition to this. Recently I had a dream of another club, had three stories I believe the 2nd or 3rd floor had a very pretty bar with the elevator. Looking back on it and thinking about it, maybe that was the successor of the club that was razed that never came about.
Who knows, I've had weird and odd dreams throughout the years, of places that don't exist, and from time to time operations that are on military bases. For instance years back I had a dream I was in a bowling center with old timey looking chairs, gasser chairs to be exact. Funny.
Addition: Out of my original story I sent to a podcast, I left out one thing very insignificant, only to see if there is something paranormal to that and if someone who is in the paranormal or who claims to talk to spirits can figure that out it will never happen of course. There's one from the experience (someone might figure that out idk) and one from the dream and the additional dream.
