Vegas Casinos...

Let me start off by saying I've gambled before
And I take a trips to Vegas.
The difference is I budget and I in a sense you could say "do it my way" when doing vegas.
Be sure to use apps like MyVegas, Say and Play, Groupon etc to cut down on costs
Most of this is going to be focused on what I've used on MyVegas I may make a tutorial on how to use it in my next blog posting.

MyVegas Ideal Strategy: Accumulate chips, the app will give you daily spins, free chips, free chips if you watch ads, and free chips if your friends play the app (annoying facebook requests farmville like). until you have 100,000,000 if you cannot wait that long cut it in half, if you still cannot wait that long then do whatever i tend to play my games at 10,000,000 chips. Reason being is because you can do a lot more with a load of chips, they do have events every week at least for myvegas slots on facebook. There is also a goal feature where you can get achievements and advance that way on myvegas slots (may make a seperate post explaining that).

Redeeming rewards should be a daily process if you are planning on going, however be careful on when it expires some expire as soon as 30 days. another drawback is you only can redeem 3 per 30 days

Time

Longest trip I did was 4 days, shortest was one day, but typically I average 2 to 3 nights and I may break it up and go to Laughlin relax. I never do 7 days and never do 2 weeks and never will Vegas is too expensive with that.

Gambling

Take advantage of the free play if they have it and play the free play only, count what you are putting into the machine for instance, you are playing video poker you do 25 cents per hand and you have a $5 dollar free play: this means you have 20 hands after the 20 hands you cash out. Don't put any of your money (the exception is if you have to insert a dollar to activate it)

Its your preference but don't be enticed by the free mug or blender they giveaway, haven't see this on the strip but I've seen it in local casinos and casinos outside of the strip. You will end up paying 100 dollars for a 30 dollar blender in most cases.

If you love gambling take advantage of the promotions of 2x the points, etc.

Overtime I have a method that is to withdraw 50 or 60 giving myself two options going to the blackjack table with all of it, or going to the slots or video poker machines I split by $20 dollars between three casinos, if I decide to spend more its more casinos. I have about a 3 min rule on slots and video poker and if i double my money or lose at blackjack I leave the table.

Bookings

Search MyVegas and you will find apps (Do not pay money into these apps that is my advice but do whatever you want). Note: this might change it changes every year. You will want to go in off peak seasons some of the benefits:

1.) Not as busy, less people, less headache
2.) Prices go down (a little bit)
3.) If you go when its cold in vegas you wont see as many street performers (if you hate seeing them)
4.) Pretty good deals
5.) MyVegas rewards tends to have better rewards.

So the first thing you want to do on myvegas is to look at the room comp rewards (like i said you can do whatever you want) but I tend to find the 2 night comps or 3 night comps.

Things to keep in mind about MyVegas:
1.) Check the promotional calendar there are certain dates you cannot book the comped room.
2.) Its a comped room with fees included which means you are paying the resort fee and parking fee. (Still a good deal!)
3.) Premium hotels such as the Aria and Bellagio will cost you more than Luxor or the Excalibur.

Besides MyVegas you will want to search deals on Caesars Rewards sometimes the deals are better. You can also look at casino resorts directly or go to a third party website, however in my research I've found you will get the most bang for you're buck on MyVegas and Caesars Rewards.

Things to keep in mind about Caesars Rewards
1.) You may get lucky and find comps but typically that is slim unless you gamble alot, if there is, you will be paying a resort fee and parking fee just like myvegas.
2.) Same with myvegas you'll find better deals off peak.
3.) same as what I listed for MyVegas

Food

My favorite part of this probably is talking about the food probably because we all love food, and because I have the body fat to prove it haha.

Anyways on MyVegas the best deals for food are usually the buffets, if you try the restaurants (which i see fewer and fewer every year) that shows say a 50 dollar credit that restaurant may have a catch saying that you have to pay $50 or something to get that credit, or they may have a free appetizer with a purchase of an entree. My opinion stay away from the restaurant deals unless you really want to try it (I've never used one myself).

Buffets

The only catch to buffets you may find is two things:

1.) They require a 1 night minimum stay at a MGM Resort
2.) Blackout dates (just like booking buffets have blackout dates)

Other than that there is no catch, just redeem and enjoy your comped buffet don't forget to leave a tip of course. The Luxor, Excalibur and Mirage (this could of changed within a year) I believe have refill stations so you don't have to rely on the server.

Drinks and Nightlife

To be honest I've never used these comps just because I don't often drink in Vegas I know shocking. I've looked at the deals over the years not that great, free jello shot, free beer, comp into a night club on the strip. I've never been into this lifestyle so I don't do it.

Shows

Groupon is where I got a good deal on the Atomic Museum and the Trey Burton Show. KA is the first show I saw under myvegas paid nothing except for .75 to print out my ticket in Vegas because I forgot. Again as with everything checkout the blackout dates and terms & conditions really for everything.

Attractions

One attraction I got to see was the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay using myvegas. The app has other attractions such as the garden at the Mirage and the Art Gallery at the Bellagio.

Redeem

Hotel Rooms and Shows: You redeem online through booking it
Buffets/attractions: You redeem at the rewards desk at the home casino
Attractions etc: you can book these online.
Free Play: Stay away terms and conditions can be confusing on this (past experience) and don't try mykonami free play unless you want like 12 dollars of free money if you just play the free play and don't put any of your money in I believe its like a dollar to activate the free play I believe.

If You Need To Cancel Any MyVegas Rewards

You can only cancel 5 rewards every 30 days so keep that in mind, really think about what you are redeeming and when that particular reward will be expiring. You don't want to be in a situation where you cannot cancel it, reward is expiring, and you cannot cancel because you have used up the 5 cancellations.

Booking Rooms/Shows: If you don't redeem it yet you can always cancel it, once its redeemed you cannot cancel it to get your points back you can contact there support to see what they can do for you.

Buffets: You can cancel at anytime, you don't redeem these until you show up in Vegas and if something happens you don't use it at all you can cancel it during or after you're trip. And you redeem the reward at its home casino, for instance, if its a Luxor buffet reward you got to the rewards counter in Luxor Casino to redeem it on the day of.

App links

MyVegas Apps

Wynn Slots: Slow to earn the points, takes along time to get free chips, seems like an app trying to hard to tempt you in paying for chips

https://www.sayandplay.com/
Surveys you can take to earn points toward gambling eating and shopping for Caesars rewards takes a long time to do surveys at times, and you don't qualify for some surveys.

Be sure to checkout Groupon for deals

Safe travels hope this helps, if you want more information on this since this is just an intro into it look up myvegas blogs on google search.
